Review
This book was amazing! I wasn’t expecting what happened I was completely shocked, it took me by surprise and I loved it.
Mare Barrow lives in the Stilts and knows what’s in store for the rest of her life. She’ll be joining the army along with the rest of her older brothers. It will be her younger sister who makes the money and stays at home with her family.
That is, until she meets Cal. She assumes he works at the palace and it’s how she lands herself a job in the palace. It’s there that Mare accidental realises that the buzzing in her head is because she has a power – she can control lightning. And she can make it. And, even better, it extends to technology, allow her to shut it on and off as she pleases.
Now, she is Lady Mareena Titanos, a lost Silver girl who grew up with Reds. She hides her Red blood, the blush that appears on her cheeks. And she must face the reality that she will marry Prince Maven, the younger brother of Prince Tiberias Calore VII – who is better know as Cal.
Amidst a brewing rebellion, Mare makes her cautious way between the lines of becoming a princess while remaining loyal to the Reds and her own family.
But not everything is as it seems and Mare finds herself in a plot to bring down the system in this fast paced page turner. I read it in two days and it was amazing, I can’t wait for the Glass Sword!

I can’t think of a book that is like this because it’s very unique. You won’t be disappointed by it!
